October 2017 Membership Meeting

The October 11th Guild meeting will be held at the Jackson Street Roundhouse (193 W Pennsylvania Ave, St Paul, MN 55130).
For the meeting we will not plan for any demonstrations but invite all our members to bring in pieces of metalwork or other items that they have made or acquired over the years. We have just celebrated our 40th year, so there is bound to be something not shown in awhile. Please remember items you have shown before have not been seen by everyone and especially newer members, kind of an extended show and tell. Some folks have major collections others not yet; but if it intrigued you, it will probably intrigue someone else. Incomplete works are great as well, as much can be learned by seeing some of the stages along the way. We have been here before, but maybe we will see and/or share something new.
The usual potluck (bring a dish to pass) begins at 6:30 pm, with the business meeting, and show and tell to happen after that. The champion for this meeting is Derrick Phillips. Contact him at derrick_phillips@q.com if you have questions.

And inside the machine shop is the blacksmith shop created and developed by TGoM members, principally Charlie Bateman, Nick Heinen, Gordon Barr, and others.
