Guillotine tool

In this workshop we will build one of the handiest tools in your tool box, a Guillotine similar to the one pictured. Some of the parts will be pre-cut for easier assembly. A stem will be furnished for mounting in the hardie hole in your anvil, so you will need to let us know prior to class what size of hardie your anvil has. Guillotines typically have several dies. We will furnish stock for 2 sets of dies and instruct you on making and heat treating your two sets so you will have the knowledge to make more sets in your own shop for whatever applications you need. Each participant will take home a finished tool with two sets of dies.

Safety Equipment: – safety glasses, ear plugs, hard shoes and cotton clothing are mandatory. Other safety equipment may include: leather gloves, leather apron.

Lunch Arrangements: Bring your own lunch with you. We will take a break at noon and eat at the shop.
